Opportunity Purpose

We are seeking parents or caregivers of children ages 6-17 years, to help us develop and deliver a research project. Our team runs a 10 week program that works with families to promote healthy lifestyles. Our program includes education and activities provided by a dietitian, social worker and physical activity coach. Our research project aims to see if hand grip strength is a useful tool to measure physical health instead of just weight.

Details

We would like 2-3 partners to provide input on their experience with nutrition and physical activity education. We are currently applying for funding and would like partners to provide input on our proposed grant application. If funding is received, partners will be invited to give feedback on language used in study materials, and to provide input on if the study design and objectives meet the needs of families receiving this type of education.
