Research Study
Your Well-being Counts: Help Enhance Mental Health & Substance Use Services
Currently Recruiting
Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Mood Disorders
We are doing this study because we want to learn more about how your life and health is impacted by multiple health concerns (mental illness, substance use and physical health). We are also interested in how you interact and engage with the healthcare system in British Columbia. This study will create new knowledge to inform changes to health services and improve care for people with complex co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
You will be asked to complete an initial interview and questionnaires about your health (in-person at the study site) with follow-up questionnaires every 6 months for 3 years (via phone or in-person at the study site). In addition we will ask you to provide your personal health number so we can look at your health service activity during the study period. We will try to make the interview/questions as comfortable as possible for you. You do not have to answer any questions if you don not want to. If you decide you do not want to give us your personal health number, you can still participate in the the rest of the study.
