Recruit the Volunteers you need across BC

Post your studies and REACH BC can help connect you with volunteers

Connect with the Public

REACH BC makes it easier for you to connect with potential research participants and patient partners. It gives you access to a broad population across BC—in urban and rural settings, across multiple health authorities. REACH BC matches you with interested volunteers, who you can review and select as participants in your study.

How it Works

Add Studies to the Directory

Add your research studies and patient partner research opportunities to the REACH BC directory to make it easy for British Columbians to find your research by topic or condition. Whether they’re interested in learning more or they’re hoping to be a research participant, REACH BC makes it easy for the public to find your work.

See Your Volunteer Matches

REACH BC will find volunteers who match your eligibility criteria and notify them by email. They have the option to reach out to you for more info or to express interest in getting involved, then you’ll receive a list of interested volunteers with contact details.

Connect with Qualified Volunteers

Once volunteers have expressed an interest in your research, you’ll be able to contact them with any eligibility criteria and additional information before moving forward.

Find Research Opportunities in BC

Find a health area that interests you. Search by medical condition or health topic.

Who is eligible to post studies on REACH BC?

To use REACH BC, researchers must be appointed or employed by a health authority or public post-secondary institution (university or college) in British Columbia. Graduate students with a principal investigator who meets the researcher criteria above may also be able to use REACH BC.

REACH BC is currently not eligible for use by researchers who are not residing in British Columbia. All research studies must have research ethics board approval before they are posted on REACH BC.

Patient Partner Research Opportunities

For assistance with creating and posting your patient partner research opportunity, you can connect with the BC SUPPORT Unit and find your regional centre contact.

Are you a volunteer?

Privacy and Security

REACH BC will not release any of your personal information to 3rd parties, participating organizations and/or other institutions. Your information will only be available to the researcher(s) after you indicate interest in being contacted about a particular study.
