The use of e-cigarettes or "vaping" has rapidly increased since 2000, especially with youths and young adults. but very little is known about the long term effects on lung health. We want to measure the impact of vaping nicotine and THC on the lungs compared to cannabis smoking, tobacco cigarette smoking and no smoking, through medical imaging (CT and MRI scans) and samples of your lung tissue.
At your first visit, you will complete questionnaires about your medical history and vaping use, complete a breathing test, and get your blood drawn. You will also complete a CT, MRI and bronchoscopy within a month of your first visit. You will be followed up over the phone for one year.
