Research Study
Photo Study for Asian People with Endometriosis
Closed Recruitment
Public Health, Rural Health, Surgery, Other Health Systems and Technology, Social Determinants of Health
In this study, we will use an arts-based approach (Photovoice) to gather the experiences of East, South, and Southeast Asian people with endometriosis during the pandemic. We have a specific interest in mental health, quality of life, accessing and/or utilizing supports or healthcare services, and social determinants of health.
Participants will take 8-10 photographs that show their experiences of endometriosis during the pandemic. They will create 1-2 sentence captions for each photo, and submit the photos and captions to the research team. Lastly, they will partake in an individual, in-depth interview with one of our research team members to discuss their photos. Photos and captions submitted by participants may be shared in virtual and/or in-person exhibits.
