Research Study
Are you at risk for bipolar disorder? Online Study for Ages 15-24.
Closed Recruitment
Mental Health, Other - Child & Adolescent, Bipolar Disorder
There is a substantial delay in the accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment initiation of bipolar disorder (BD) which is linked to poor clinical and functional outcomes. The purpose of this study is to test a novel intervention for individuals at high risk for BD to reduce this delay.
First, a screening visit is done where informed consent will be obtained and a clinical evaluation will be completed. Then, there will be a baseline visit where participants will complete questionnaires. After, the intervention begins, which will consist of 8 weekly group sessions, each 60 minutes in duration and will be conducted using Zoom. After each session, participants will be asked to complete a brief survey about their views on the content and process of the session and their suggestions for improvements. After the final session, four additional surveys will be completed and a focus group will be conducted to obtain feedback from participants.
