The purpose of this study is to better understand brain activity associated with gambling decisions. Participants with varying levels of experience with gambling will be asked to play a gambling task while having brain scans.
Participants will play a computer-based gambling task while getting a positron emission tomography (PET) and a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain scan. For the PET scan, a small amount of radiotracer (4.63mSv) is administered via an injection before the scan. Both scans happen at the same time and take 90 minutes. During the scan, you will complete a gambling task. The rest of the time is for going through the consent form, giving you time to practise the gambling task and prepare for the scan and debriefing. The study takes 3 hours in total.
