Research Study
How has perinatal loss (loss prior, during and after pregnancy) impacted your work?
Closed Recruitment
Postpartum Depression, Uterine Fibroids, Ovarian Disorders , Miscarriage, Reproduction and Sexual Health
Our objective is to understand the ways in which perinatal loss (loss prior, during and after pregnancy) impacts the work of Canadians. We are conducting interviews to adapt a questionnaire measuring work productivity loss to encompass the impacts of perinatal loss (e.g., infertility, miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth or infant death). Ultimately, this research will inform employers and policymakers to evaluate workplace supports.
After you express interest, the research coordinator will contact you by email and ask you a few questions to determine whether you are eligible to participate. If you are eligible, they will explain more about the study and send you a consent form via email to review. Your one-on-one interview will be conducted virtually and is expected to last 45-60 minutes. Your interview will be scheduled at your convenience (day/evening/weekend). Interviews will be audio recorded (no video). The research coordinator will take notes as you speak. During the interview, you will be asked to think aloud about work productivity loss outcomes, and asked for your feedback on how to measure these outcomes.
