Research Study
Did you have a feeding tube during treatment for your head or neck cancer?
Closed Recruitment
Oral Cancer, Other Cancers, Nutritional Support, Other General Health , Other Men’s Health
To explore the experiences of survivors of head and neck cancer who had a feeding tube during treatment (chemotherapy and/or radiation). Specifically, we will collect information on what they would have liked to know about tube feeding, as well as how they would have liked this information presented to them. With this information, we hope that this can improve future conversations between healthcare providers and patients about tube feeding.
We will hold 2 virtual focus groups (held over Zoom), each with 4-10 participants. Each participant will only attend one of these virtual sessions, that will last about 75 minutes. During these sessions, there will be an organizer of the meeting, who will ask a number of predetermined questions, but also allow for lots of time for discussion among the group. Participants are welcome to use a pseudonym during the focus group if they prefer to remain anonymous.
