Research Study
Help us understand your knowledge and preferences for cervical cancer screening!
Closed Recruitment
Cervical Cancer, Other General Health , Other Older Adults, Reproduction and Sexual Health, Other Women’s Health
With the recent replacement of cervical cytology (Pap) based smears with HPV swabs, the UBC Papapalooza team (medical students) is interested in obtaining more information about public perception of HPV self-swabs. This includes the public’s knowledge on the different options of cervical cancer screening available in BC, reasons patients prefer self-swabs or provider-collected HPV swabs, etc.
Participants will complete a short online consent form and an anonymous questionnaire. Questionnaires will ask questions regarding demographics, knowledge of HPV self-screening, general acceptability of HPV self-screening, etc. Participants will be offered the chance to enter a draw for one of five gift cards. After you express interest on REACH BC, you’ll be directed to our online survey, where you can learn more about the study and start completing the ~10 minute study questionnaire.
